When we look at history, magazines and records from the past, we will most likely stumble across the great Brit rock bands of the 70´s, who still ring the sweet sounds in our ears!

Now may that be “Get back” or “Jumping Jack Flash”, “Whole lotta love” or “Set me free”, “The Ace of spades” and “Paranoid”, we also like to remember and point out “Smoke on the water” and of course “Stargazer”!
This is how it began for most of us, one scream under the shower, a school mate grabbed a guitar and another kitchen spoons……  tools of the century!
And so it began ……..!

It´s only Rock´n Roll …… and we like it!

It was 2014 and Joe Stump, the Shredlord, Csaba Zvekan and Craig Gruber R.I.P.  (Rainbow, Elf, Gary Moore) on Bass started a new band.

With the addition of English/German powerhouse drummer Mark Cross and Maestro Mistheria, the Italian Keyboard wizzard, the line up formed a convincing and strong ensemble.
Stump being greatly influenced by Blackmore, Schenker and Malmsteen it is no secret, that TOB´s Music was written sounding close to original work of early Rainbow that had also featured Craig and Dio at the time.

However in late 2014 Craig was diagnosed with cancer and sadly passed on May 5th, 2015.

The band was at an early stage, already recording and was devastated! After long talks they decided a few months later to finish the writing of the album.
Mark had already laid down drum tracks in February 2015 at Pontus Egberg´s Studio (Bassist of The Poodles, Tainted Nation, King Diamond and The Treat) in Stockholm, Sweden and finished three remaining tracks at his Studio, «The Drum Dungeon» in Hamburg, Germany in February 2017 and Nicola Angileri (Jorn, John Petrucci, Mike Portnoy, Ian Paice, Exorcism) was given the Bass player´s position who finally recorded all Bass tracks on the Album, the perfect match for the band.

TOB insured their first record deal with the Finnish label “Lion Music” and released their first album «Lake of Fire» on July 20, 2017.

However after multiple disagreements and severe complications early 2018 the band  parted ways with Zvekan.
On May 7, TOB started working with the talented young Italian singer Ruben Sacco to be their new frontman in the band for upcoming shows.

After nearly 2 years of silence, the band found themselves working on a new album and announced their new singer JO AMORE on August 3, 2020.

  • Tower of Babel comprises of five musicians who have all in their own right been involved in world tours, festivals and recordings. Boasting members and ex-members of Alcatrazz, Firewind, Jorn, Glenn Hughes, Bruce Dickinson, Helloween, Vivaldi Metal Project, Tainted Nation,  Holy Hell, God´s Army, Nightmare, The Scorpions and others.
  • The music walks the line between old school hard rock and classic European power metal with healthy doses of each heard throughout.
  • Strong compositions, with a stellar performance by excellent players! Arena Rock songs that will give the fan what he asks for.
  • TOB is a product of combination of influences, in this case the main and most obvious one being Ritchie Blackmore and his work with Rainbow and Deep Purple. Both Blackmore and Yngwie Malmsteen are Joe Stumps 2 biggest influences, which you can of course hear out on the album, as there`s some tracks on the record reminiscent of the early Rising Force Material.
